When water and pigment meet on paper, I sense an expansive field of possibility—as if descending once more into the depths of the ocean. Layered blues unfold toward the unknown, holding both mystery and freedom, and offering a space where perception can move without fixed boundaries.
Painting has accompanied me since early childhood. I began formal art training at the age of five, and from that moment, the brush became an extension of my body and awareness. Much of my youth was spent in quiet repetition—drawing, observing, returning to the same gestures again and again. Within that stillness, I first encountered a profound sense of freedom that continues to shape my artistic path.
While painting, I enter a state of complete immersion. External noise recedes, time loosens its grip, and only the subtle dialogue between water, color, and paper remains. In this suspended space, I observe the passage of light, the soft dissolution of form, and the quiet resonance that emerges between myself and the world.
My pursuit of immersion and freedom has also drawn me to the physical ocean. As a diver and traveler, I have entered environments rarely touched by human presence—living aboard vessels, facing towering waves, witnessing whales rise from the depths, descending dozens of meters to explore shipwrecks, and swimming alongside sharks and dolphins. These experiences revealed a fundamental truth: the world resists uniformity, and life thrives in fluidity rather than fixed structures.
Nature, however, is not the boundary of my work, but its point of departure. My watercolors seek to trace the breath of the world itself—from the hush of hidden ravines and the warmth of everyday human scenes, to the strength of mountain ridgelines and the subtle tremors of inner emotion. I paint what I have witnessed and deeply felt, especially those fleeting moments that vanish almost as soon as they appear.
My aim is not merely to depict what is visible, but to preserve the transient—to hold still a moment of light, sensation, or quiet clarity. Beneath the imagery lies an ongoing inner exploration: a search for freedom, an attentiveness to time, and a gradually unfolding sense of calm and inner autonomy shaped by experience.
Each painting becomes a descent into perception itself. Water is my vessel, color my wings. By capturing the faintest yet most sincere glimmers of feeling, I seek to transform the ephemeral into the enduring. Within this boundless space of painting, I arrive at a freedom that is both expansive and deeply personal.
