“Luminous Dawn Horse” Showcased at the 4th “Watching the Clouds Rise” Exhibition in Beijing

I am thrilled to announce that my original watercolor painting, “Luminous Dawn Horse” (《晨晖旭影 —— 云间白马》), has been officially selected for the 4th “Watching the Clouds Rise” Small-Scale Watercolor Exhibition.

Organized by the Beijing Branch of the Zaihua Sketching Society, this exhibition celebrates the intricate beauty and intimacy of small-format watercolor art. What makes this event particularly special is the venue: the gallery is set within a traditional Chinese courtyard in the historic Xicheng District of Beijing. The classic red doors, grey brick walls, and serene atmosphere provide a culturally rich backdrop for the artworks on display.

About the Featured Artwork: “Luminous Dawn Horse” captures the quiet grace of a white horse bathed in the soft, atmospheric glow of early morning. Using realistic watercolor techniques, my focus was to render the delicate textures of the mane and the subtle reflections of light on its coat. The unframed painting measures 36 x 26 cm, and its framed size for the exhibition is 40.5 x 30.5 cm. Seeing the artwork professionally framed and hung on the gallery wall brings a wonderful new dimension to the piece.

The physical exhibition will run for several months, opening on May 15, 2026, and extending through September 20, 2026.
